​Anabas is a national Facilities Management provider with a reputation for delivering exceptional service to corporate office occupiers. We focus on creating high-quality workplace experiences for our clients and their teams. We are recruiting for a highly capable engineer looking to take the next step in their career, stepping into a hybrid role combining technical delivery and small works project management. This individual will split their time approximately 50/50 between managing and delivering small works (e.g., air conditioning installations, lighting upgrades, EV charger installations, flooring replacement, and minor fit-out works) and performing traditional multiskilled engineering duties including PPMs and reactive maintenance. This role requires technical excellence, strong organisational ability, and a focus on quality, value, and customer service. You will manage and undertake PPM, reactive, and additional works while fostering client satisfaction, promoting continuous improvement, and supporting a positive team culture. Key Responsibilities: Small Works / Project Responsibilities (Approx. 50%) Scope, quote, plan, and deliver minor works and small projects across the contract. Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and high-quality delivery of works. Foster strong client relationships to promote trust, satisfaction, and repeat business. Supervise technical delivery and subcontractors to ensure compliance with H&S policies and the highest standard of service. Proactively identify opportunities to improve service quality and deliver added value to the Client and Anabas. Maintain detailed records of all works, update trackers, logbooks, and ensure project documentation is complete and compliant. Work collaboratively with the Technical Operations Manager to produce quotations aligned with Client and Anabas requirements. Engineering Duties (Approx. 50%) Undertake PPM works in line with SFG 20 and ACOPs, including statutory testing duties as delegated. Respond to reactive maintenance requests and complete tasks safely, professionally, and within agreed KPIs. Carry out diagnostics, fault finding, and visual inspections, and submit reports with findings and recommendations. Ensure full compliance with Anabas & Client H&S procedures, including active reporting of omissions or risks Support the Helpdesk and wider team by ensuring efficient labour and materials use across sites. Take ownership of engineering issues, delivering solutions that minimise downtime and disruption To be successful in this role you will be able to demonstrate your skills and experience in the following areas: Proven experience as a Multi Skilled Engineer or similar role. Minimum standard C&G Level 3 or equivalent in mechanical, electrical, or HVAC discipline. Experience managing and delivering small works projects or supporting project supervisors. Strong knowledge of statutory compliance, H&S regulations, and risk assessments. Proficient in Microsoft Office and familiar with CAFM systems and handheld devices. Ability to read and fault-find from schematic drawings; capable of managing subcontractors effectively. Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to build strong relationships with clients, colleagues, and contractors. Strong organisational and prioritisation skills, managing multiple projects and reactive tasks effectively under pressure. Demonstrated focus on delivering value-add initiatives and driving continuous improvement. Full UK Driving License required. Reasonable physical fitness required for manual handling, working at height, and tool use. Management of L8 / Asbestos is desirable. Experience working with critical standby systems. Ability to act as an Authorised Person. Flexibility over working hours (will be required to work paid overtime on evenings and weekends to ensure work is completed).
