We are looking for a talented and experienced Hydraulics Design Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. In this role, you'll take ownership of designing and developing advanced hydraulic systems and components - from initial concept through to full-scale production. You'll play a key role in ensuring all designs meet customer specifications, safety regulations, and cost objectives while helping drive innovation across our product range. Roles and Responsibilities Design and develop hydraulic systems, circuits, and components for both industrial and mobile equipment applications. Produce detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and 3D models using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Perform design calculations, analysis, and simulations to validate performance, efficiency, and reliability. Work collaboratively with production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability and cost-effectiveness. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs) and design specifications. Support prototype builds, testing, and validation of new hydraulic designs. Provide technical support during commissioning, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement projects. Liaise with customers and suppliers to define technical requirements and address design challenges. Ensure full compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO, CE, ATEX) and internal quality systems. Skills and Experience Degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Hydraulic, or Mechatronic Engineering. Demonstrable experience in hydraulic system design within a manufacturing or industrial environment. Strong proficiency in CAD design (SolidWorks preferred). In-depth knowledge of hydraulic components - including pumps, valves, cylinders, accumulators, and filters - and core fluid power principles. Understanding of system testing, fault diagnosis, and design-for-manufacture (DFM) principles. Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
