Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude and be proficient in various technical skills, including plumbing and welding. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of gas appliances and systems in both residential and commercial settings. The successful applicant will demonstrate a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
This is not a trainee role and we will not entertain applicants who cannot be gas safe accredited without further training.
Duties
* Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, heating systems, and associated pipework.
* Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
* Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople on-site to complete projects efficiently.
* Perform assembly tasks related to gas installations and repairs.
* Carry out heavy lifting as required when moving equipment or materials.
* Maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues to management.
* Adhere to all health and safety guidelines while on-site.
Requirements
* Proven experience as a Gas Engineer or in a similar role is essential.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot various systems.
* Proficiency in plumbing, welding, carpentry, and the use of hand and power tools.
* Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when required.
* A valid commercial driving licence is preferred but not mandatory.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
