/what you will do:
1. Partners with functional and business leadership and peers in driving business performance to meet short and long term objectives
2. Lead and support monthly closing activities including journal entries, accruals, reporting and analysis processes
3. Ensure local tax requirements supported by site teams are completed on a timely basis
4. Ensures compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, company policy and standard operating procedure; recommends changes to strengthen control environment
5. Supports internal and external audit requirements
6. Drives continuous improvement and uses systems to increase controls and efficiencies
7. Identify and lead PPIs and deployment and systems implementations
8. Listens proactively and collaborates across functional lines
9. Other ad-hoc duties
10. Analyze financial and business performance against key business metrics and financial highlights that will enable understanding of progress against strategic / business plan and budgets
How you will get here:
11. An undergraduate degree in Business, Finance or Accounting is required
12. A global accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, ACA, CIMA)
13. Possess excellent academic credentials and strong financial competence
14. Experience in the IVD or Life Sciences industry is a plus
15. The candidate should have a minimum of 4+ years of finance and accounting experience
16. Validated deep understanding of ERPs ( SAP, Oracle, Hyperion) and data visualization and analytics tools ( Power BI, Cognos)
17. Working understanding of financial accounting standards and internal controls
18. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to distill and translate technical concepts to non technical collaborators and vice versa
