The Role – Sales Manager
We’re looking for an ambitious and people-focused Sales Manager to lead our Sales Executives in converting contractor and agency leads into long-term clients. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll drive sales performance, coach and develop your team, and help shape the commercial growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, coach, and manage a team of Sales Executives to achieve and exceed monthly targets.
Oversee the full sales pipeline, ensuring high conversion of leads into signed contractors and agency accounts.
Deliver regular coaching, 1-2-1s, and training to support team development.
Create and refine sales processes, scripts, and tools to maximise results.
Collaborate with operations, compliance, and onboarding teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
Report on team performance and key commercial metrics to senior leadership.
Inspire a positive, accountable, and high-energy sales culture.
You
We’re looking for someone with:
Proven experience managing and coaching a sales team in a target-driven environment.
A background in umbrella payroll, recruitment, financial services, or B2B sales (highly desirable).
Strong commercial awareness and the ability to make data-led decisions.
Excellent communication and influencing skills with a proactive, motivational approach.
Highly organised with the ability to manage pipelines, performance, and priorities effectively.
A passion for people development and driving collective success.
Package & Location
Salary: £35,000 base + team commission
Location: Chester (office-based, Monday–Friday, 9:00–17:30)
