Overview An established manufacturing business is seeking a multi-skilled Mechanical Technician to join a busy production environment. This is a hands-on position suited to an experienced Mechanical Fitter with a strong mechanical background and a solid mechanical/electrical skill split, ideally gained within bespoke machinery or automation settings. The role supports machine build, testing, commissioning, and ongoing improvement activities within a quality- and safety-focused operation. Key Responsibilities * Set up, test, and commission machinery for pre-delivery factory acceptance testing * Carry out mechanical fitting and assembly of bespoke machinery * Assemble equipment from technical and engineering drawings * Install motors, gearboxes, belts, bearings, and complex mechanical assemblies * Work with pneumatics and automation systems throughout build and test phases * Assist with fault finding and diagnosis of mechanical, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues * Use a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machine tools, including turning and milling * Support validation and compliance activities in line with quality standards * Assist with the development and implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) * Support and mentor Mechanical Fitters, promoting safe working practices and build quality * Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations * Use...
