Job Title: Engineering Manager – Systems Engineering

What you’ll be doing:
* Management and integration of resource in the engineering delivery team; leadership of engineering resources, delivery of packages of work, involving the establishment of effective cross business Systems Engineering Capability, utilising new and existing technologies, requiring multiple interfaces with customers and suppliers
* Delivery of systems engineering work streams within the Systems Engineering Transformation Programme
* Managing off load resource including agreeing direction, approving deliverables and contract obligations have been met and renewing/defining new contracts and management through the approval process
* Leading and managing engineering staff
* Performing appropriate engineering planning, management and review activities
* Ensuring engineering capability and capability enhancements/developments are delivered consistent with changes in customer and market requirements, focusing on the development and deployment of Model Based Systems Engineering techniques within the business
Your skills and experiences:
* Proven experience in the Leadership and management of teams, preferably in the context of complex system development
* Experience in the application and development of Systems Engineering tools and techniques, including the following:
o Management of complex tasks through dispersed teams
o System Engineering Principles and ways of working
o Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) Techniques
o Architectural Frameworks
o Systems Engineering Processes
o Project controls and risk management
* Experience of managing offload contracts/resource
* Science Technology Engineering Mathematics (STEM) degree qualified

Our team is at the forefront of transforming systems engineering within the business and key programmes. We are committed to modernizing our approach by implementing industry best practices and innovative techniques. Focused on evolving engineering processes, we aim to revolutionize the way we work, ensuring alignment with cutting-edge methodologies to drive efficiency and excellence across our programmes.
You will be leading one or more aspects of the SET project related to diverse Systems Engineering topics such process and information frameworks, architecture and modelling, system maturity and business capability. You will be pivotal in managing how the SET product and deliverables integrate into wider business processes, delivering long term business change.
