Key Responsibilities
Provide outreach support to pupils who are struggling to attend school regularly.
Work closely with families to identify barriers to attendance and develop effective solutions.
Collaborate with school staff to plan and deliver academic support that helps children transition back into the classroom.
Conduct home visits where appropriate to build relationships and encourage engagement.
Monitor attendance, progress, and engagement, keeping clear and accurate records.
Act as a link between home and school, promoting positive communication and trust.
Support wider wellbeing initiatives that help children feel safe, motivated, and prepared for learning.
Essential Skills & Experience
Experience working with children, young people, or families in an educational, social care, or community setting.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Understanding of barriers to attendance and strategies to overcome them.
A compassionate, patient, and solution-focused approach.
Full driving licence and willingness to travel locally
