Hourly rate of pay: £15.52 - £16.58
Post 1 - Temporary for 12 months
Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday. Flexi time is applicable, with flexible start and finish times. To start as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be part of a team delivering an efficient and effective Rent Income service to all Council tenants in East Lothian. Responsibilities include helping to minimise rent arrears and maximise income to ensure the Council can deliver quality housing services. Initially, the focus will be on reviewing and managing Homeless Former Tenant debt.
Post 2 - Temporary secondment cover until 31st March 2026
Days and Hours of Work: Monday - Friday. Flexi time is applicable, with flexible start and finish times. To start as soon as possible.
The candidate will cover an internal secondment for approximately nine months, contributing to the same Rent Income service as Post 1.

Candidate Requirements
* Minimum education of SVQ Level 2 or equivalent, or relevant experience demonstrating similar knowledge, skills, and competencies.
* Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Strong negotiation and organisational skills.
Home / Hybrid Working Consideration
Applications for homeworking or hybrid working will be considered, subject to a trial period and policies. Candidates must reside in the UK and be able to attend Council offices as needed.
Job Responsibilities
Deliver an efficient Rent Income Section service, aiming to reduce rent arrears and maximise income while supporting customers and ensuring compliance with rent recovery processes.
Additional Requirements
* Relevant qualifications or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Level 1 Disclosure Clearance for access to the Public Sector Network, with additional checks if applicable.
