Job overview Do you enjoy working in a fast‑paced, collaborative and system‑focused environment? We are looking for a highly motivated Programme Manager to join the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust Strategy & Partnerships team, working on behalf of the Surrey and Sussex ICB Trust Provider Collaborative (TPC). This role offers a unique opportunity to work across four NHS providers within Surrey Heartlands, leading complex transformation programmes—particularly within paediatrics—to improve patient outcomes, operational efficiency and clinical sustainability at scale. We are seeking an individual with strong programme management experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with senior leaders, clinicians and multidisciplinary teams. NHS experience and familiarity with large‑scale transformation is essential. Advert Working closely with the TPC’s Senior Programme Management Team, clinical and operational leaders, you will oversee programme governance, reporting, stakeholder engagement and delivery. You must be comfortable working autonomously across multiple organisations, navigating complexity, and driving progress at pace. Lead and deliver TPC transformation programmes, with a key focus on established paediatric workstreams. Support Senior Responsible Officers (SROs) to implement programme objectives and deliver against agreed milestones. Provide robust programme governance, reporting, risk management and benefits realisation. Coordinate programme planning, including timelines, dependencies, resources and performance monitoring. Lead working groups and facilitate co‑design and engagement sessions across multiple providers. Develop business cases and strategic analyses, including case for change and demand/capacity modelling. Support cross‑portfolio initiatives where TPC activity overlaps with Strategy & Partnerships at Royal Surrey. Contribute to the development and delivery of the Health Inequalities programme across the Trust and wider TPC. Engage clinicians, operational teams and system partners to support collaborative working. Support digital innovation opportunities within TPC transformation programmes. Ensure compliance with governance, data protection, health and safety and safeguarding standards. Produce programme documentation including highlight reports, dashboards and risk logs. Support co‑design sessions, collaborative planning workshops and stakeholder engagement activities. Monitor, evaluate and report on programme performance and benefits realisation. Ensure alignment with provider strategies and wider Surrey Heartlands ICS priorities. Support the PMO with portfolio‑level governance and reporting requirements. Uphold Trust values and contribute to strategic objectives and system partnership working. Support audit, research, evaluation and service development activity where required. Provide coaching and mentorship to team members as appropriate.
