Role: Cost Engineer Location: Macclesfield Hybrid model: 4 days on site, 1 day remote Contract length: on going Start: ASAP My client, a leading construction consultancy requires a Cost Engineer to work on site in their client offices in Macclesfield (4 days per week on site, 1 days per week remote). This is a client facing role as you will be integrated with the client team, in their offices. You will need to be able to work autonomously and have experience of working on multiple projects at any one time, ranging in value from £10K to £5 million, these could be building refurbishments, new installations of temporary buildings, FM/Maintenance, upgrades etc. A crucial role within the PMO office, responsible for overseeing managing and overseeing the financial aspects of all projects on campus, ensuring that costs are controlled and aligned with the budget throughout the project lifecycle. You will be responsible for implementing cost control processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings and challenging Project Managers and suppliers on cost estimates. 4 years plus experience in a Cost Engineer role Pharma/ manufacturing/ industry sector experience is desirable Experience of working for a construction consultancy or in a client side role Client facing and presentable Excellent communication skills Required to attend site a minimum of 4 days a week in Macclesfield.
