Job Purpose: Own the end-to-end delivery of Supply Chain data products: working with the IT department to engineer and test reliable data pipelines and curated datasets, translating them into trusted KPIs, automated reporting, and Tableau dashboards. Act as the day-to-day analytics partner for Supply Chain, bridging business needs with IT/data architecture to enable self-service insight and operational improvement. Key duties and responsibilities: Data engineering & pipelines: Support it in building, improving and maintaining automated data pipelines/streams from ERP (Infor LN) and operational systems into analytical datasets (e.g., curated tables/views), including monitoring, troubleshooting, and reducing manual effort. For example: Create a Python/SQL transformation script that IT productionises in Databricks to extract data from Infor LN, apply business rules/cleansing, and publish a curated “analytics-ready” dataset that connects directly to Tableau dashboards. Data modelling & KPI definition: Design robust data models and metric definitions that support consistent reporting across Supply Chain. For Example: Support the definition of the Supply Chain Performance Framework by documenting KPI definitions, calculation logic, and drill-down structures (e.g., how each metric is derived from LN/source data, refresh cadence, and agreed ownership) to ensure consistent reporting across teams. Dashboarding & self-service: Create, enhance and maintain Tableau dashboards and data sources; evolve dashboards to automate recurring business requests and drive self-service. Data quality & governance: Support the IT data stewardship programme by defining and implementing validation checks, reconciling data across systems, and support data quality improvements (root cause analysis, fixes, and clear documentation of definitions/logic). Ad-hoc analysis & decision support: Deliver structured analysis to answer operational questions (e.g., supplier performance, arrears/backlogs, delivery risk, inventory health), providing clear insights and recommendations. Stakeholder management: Be the first point of contact for Supply Chain analytics requests; shape vague asks into deliverables, manage priorities, and communicate progress in a way that works for both supply chain teams and IT. Qualification & Experience: Strong SQL skills (querying, performance considerations, building reusable views/logic). Strong Python skills for analytics and automation (e.g., Pandas, SQL Alchemy), including writing maintainable scripts and debugging production issues. Experience building and maintaining data pipelines / automated data preparation (not just one-off extracts). Experience delivering Tableau dashboards end-to-end (requirements → build → iterate → support). Comfortable working with complex operational/ERP data and explaining logic/definitions clearly to non-technical stakeholders. Strong attention to detail (data validation, reconciliation, “numbers must tie out”), with a practical approach to robust solutions. Behaviours: SQL: Strong SQL skills for querying, transforming and validating data. Python: Strong Python skills for analytics and automation writing maintainable code and debugging issues. Visualisation: Experience with Tableau (or a similar BI/visualisation tool) to build and maintain dashboards and data sources. Experience level: At least 3 years’ experience in a data/insights/analytics role delivering business-facing reporting and analysis.
