Role: Commercial Property Solicitor
Experience: Minimum 1 year PQE
Location: Brighton (hybrid working available)
Salary: Competitive dependent on experience
Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the role will include:
• Managing a mixed caseload of commercial property and commercial development matters.
• Acting on acquisitions, disposals, and refinances.
• Drafting and negotiating commercial leases.
• Advising on development matters including promotion agreements, option agreements, overage agreements, and section 106 agreements.
• Drafting and negotiating sale and purchase agreements, pre‑emption agreements, and development contracts.
• Advising clients on planning, construction, and financing issues within commercial property transactions.
• Managing files from instruction through to completion with appropriate supervision.
• Supporting senior team members on more complex transactions when required.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents, developers, and third‑party advisers.
The Successful Candidate The ideal candidate will have:
• Qualification as a Solicitor with a minimum of 1 year PQE.
• Strong experience in either commercial property or commercial development.
• Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Strong organisational and time‑management abilities.
• A commercially minded, solution‑focused approach to legal advice.
• A positive, enthusiastic, and proactive attitude.
• A genuine interest in professional development and embracing change.
