Your role
Corporate Lending EMEA is seeking an additional portfolio manager to play a key role in the quarterly review of corporate borrowers. In addition, the role will involve exposure to underwriting new transactions as well. The role gives exposure to a diverse range of leveraged loans and investment grade facilities. Key tasks as follows;
Portfolio Risk Management
* Key role in the quarterly loan review process for existing borrowers. This includes updates to financial models and credit analysis to support risk ratings. Work closely with client coverage teams and credit risk.
* Monitor and identify developing changes in the portfolio and mitigating actions (inc. changes in borrower creditworthiness and covenant compliance).
* Monitor and action changes to loan portfolio hedges.
* Support recovery management team on workouts and restructurings of troubled credits.
* Support loan agency for syndicated deals (dealing with dissemination of information to loan investors, loan investor queries and amendments)
Underwriting New Transactions
Participate in the underwriting and business commitment process for "take and hold" loan transactions including:
* Co-ordinate the internal approval process for lending transaction analysis and execution from start to finish.
* Work closely with coverage and product teams, credit risk, legal and loan operations to obtain relevant approvals.
* Due diligence & financial analysis.
* Evaluate and process amendment/waiver requests.
Your team
Corporate Lending EMEA is based in London within the Global Banking business of UBS Investment Bank. We are a 1LOD team that works closely with other Global Banking teams (including Leveraged Finance, Sector & Country Coverage) as well as credit risk, legal and loan operations teams.
Your expertise
* Minimum 3:5 years' working experience with a strong focus on credit analysis.
* 3-year bachelor's degree or equivalent with outstanding academic achievement.
* Completed formal credit training program.
* Experience with loan portfolio monitoring, loan underwriting, leveraged finance and loan documentation is desired.
* Strong analytical, quantitative, and interpersonal skills (to interface confidently with senior internal & external clients).
* Experienced and proficient in financial modeling (inc. Excel).
* Strong organizational & multitasking skills enabling prioritization in a demanding environment with diverse constituents and short timeframes.
