Main duties of the job
We offer regular junior teaching throughout the week, the successful appointee will be allocated separate clinical and educational supervisors for the duration of their post.
Audit and quality improvement projects are strongly supported, and we have a dynamic group of consultants. Although we have Specialist Orthopaedic Spinal Surgeons this post does not involve cover for the National Spinal Injuries Unit (NSIC).

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
Essential criteria
14. MBBS or Equivalent
15. Foundation Programme 1 Completed
16. Registration with the GMC & Licence to practice in the UK
17. ALS Certificate

18. MRCS Part 1 (Desirable)
19. ATLS (desirable)
EXPERIENCE
Essential criteria
20. Demonstrate an understanding of the importance of the patient as a central focus of care
21. Demonstrate broad clinical skills in the management of acute medical patients
22. Competence in basic clinical procedures Ability to prioritise clinical need
23. Understanding of the principles of patient confidentiality and data protection
24. Familiar with working practices in the UK
25. 6 month general professional experience at FY1/FY2 level in UK
