Role Overview
As Management Administrator, you’ll act as a key assistant to the Service Manager and wider CDC management team. You’ll ensure the smooth running of daily operations, manage communications, coordinate meetings, and support strategic delivery. This role requires initiative, discretion, and excellent organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide high-quality administrative support to the CDC management team
* Handle enquiries via phone, email, and in person, directing queries appropriately
* Manage Outlook inboxes and respond on behalf of senior managers
* Prepare documents including letters, spreadsheets, and presentations
* Coordinate meetings: book rooms, send agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions
* Track progress of meeting actions and elevate delays when necessary
* Serve as first point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
* Work independently and proactively, anticipating issues and proposing solutions
* Analyse data and present findings in report format
* Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection standards
Required Skills and Experience
* Educated to GCSE level or equivalent
* NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service, Business Admin, or ITQ (or equivalent)
* Experience in a busy clerical or office environment
* Secretarial or administrative experience including minute taking
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
* Ability to work independently and under pressure
* Excellent communication skills (telephone, email, face‑to‑face)
* Understanding of confidentiality and data protection
* Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
* Previous experience in the NHS or medical records
* Knowledge of Trust information systems and medical terminology
* Awareness of NHS targets and priorities
* Ability to touch type and requisition general stock
