Activities Co-ordinator - Part Time
Hours: 28 hours per week
Flexible 2-week rolling rota with every other weekend off to support your work-life balance
Are you passionate about creating meaningful moments and helping others live life to the fullest? We’re looking for a creative and enthusiastic Activities Co-ordinator to bring energy, joy and connection to our residents every day.
About the role
Reporting to the Home Manager, you’ll play a key role in enriching the lives of our residents by delivering a varied and engaging programme of activities. You’ll have the freedom to be creative, build relationships and make a genuine difference.
You will:
1. Design and deliver stimulating, person-centred activities that promote independence, choice and wellbeing
2. Create a vibrant, inclusive environment where residents feel inspired to join in and share ideas
3. Plan and manage a diverse activities calendar, from group events to one-to-one sessions
4. Manage activity resources and budgets effectively
5. Build connections with the local community to enhance experiences
6. Ensure all activities meet CQC standards and contribute to high-quality care
About you
You’re someone who brings warmth, creativity and enthusiasm into everything you do. You enjoy working with people and have a natural ability to engage and motivate others.
You’ll ideally have:
7. Experience organising activities, preferably in a care or community setting
8. An understanding of what older people enjoy and how to support meaningful engagement
9. A good awareness of health & safety practices
You’ll also have:
10. A creative flair (arts, crafts or similar practical skills are a big plus!)
11. Strong communication and relationship-building skills
12. The ability to plan, organise and adapt activities with confidence
13. A positive, team-focused approach while also being able to work independently
14. Basic IT skills
