Overview
Your Role at Asda focuses on the health and wellbeing of customers, delivering high quality patient care. Due to extended NHS service contracts, the role includes screening patients, coaching and training the wider team, and maintaining department standards. Asda provides extensive training, a CPD programme, and protected time to complete further accreditations funded by Asda to support evolving eye care needs.
Asda also supports supervision of students for GOC registered professionals as an optional development opportunity, and offers supportive in-store, regional, and home office teams for clinical or service questions.

About You
At Asda it’s all about service and creating a memorable experience for customers. You will work with an Optical Manager and a wider department team to coach, train, and develop new patient services to meet customer needs. You will be:
* A fully qualified optometrist registered with the GOC
* A registered performer with your NHS area team or health board
* MECs or WECs accredited (or willing to gain accreditation within 12 months of joining Asda – funded and supported by us)
* On track to meet the statutory points requirement for CPD
* Able to use your skills and passion for the role to deliver a memorable customer experience
* Passionate about developing new patient services and shaping the culture of the department
