A newly introduced role, as the Training and Operations Officer, you'll sit at the heart of the warehouse, blending hands-on operations with due diligence, while working side-by-side with the H&S Officer to plan and coordinate training. It's a vital position for the business, and is perfect for someone who thrives on variety, has experience in a warehouse, along with exceptional administration skills.
What’s in it for you?
* Core Hours: 8am to 4pm, with shifts dependent on training needs
* Shifted Hours: Morning: 5am to 1:30pm or 6am to 2:30pm. Afternoon: 2pm to 10:30pm. Night: 6:30pm to 5am
* Salary: £35,000 plus £3.51ph shift allowance
* 21 days holiday, broken down into hours, increasing after after 2 years

Training And Operations Officer Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with new and existing employees to define bespoke training plans to ensure every person is up to standard
* Actively identify training gaps across the team and implement training to combat gaps and ensure compliance
* Assess the real-world, hands-on skills of the team post-training to ensure the training was a success and provide additional training where necessary
* Lead comprehensive inductions for new starters, ensuring they are training on processes, policies, and systems and ensuring their skills meet both business and legal benchmarks
* Work closely with the Operations, Warehouse, and H&S team to plan and coordinate training
* Own the training matrices, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate, and utilise the information to identify future needs before they become gaps
* Manage relationships with external training providers for First Aid, Fire Marshal, DGN, and MHE
* Undertake due diligence checks for training providers and meeting space to ensure they are compliant
* Collect and report 'near miss data', turning it into corrective training actions
Training And Operations Officer Skills and Experience:
* Experience working in a warehouse environment, combined with strong administration skills
* Possesses a good understanding of the automotive or logistics sector
* An understanding of training and development, with an awareness of how to support neurodiverse learning
* Has truck skills in Forklift, HLOP, LLOP, or VNA
* Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate across departments and build rapport
* Proactive and naturally inquisitive, always looking for ways to improve
* Superb organisation skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to work with accuracy
* Flexible in your approach to work, able to work different shift patterns to meet business and employee needs
