Description
Are you skilled in navigating credit hire claims and passionate about delivering outstanding client service? If so, we are looking for a talented Credit Hire handler to join our fast-paced, supportive team.
Department: Claims Management
Location: Bolton
This role offers an excellent opportunity to investigate Complex credit hire claims. The role of the File Handler is to carry out complex & technical investigations on claims submitted from a specific opponent. These claims will be pre-litigated claims with a value over £25,000.
The purpose of the role is to help our clients save hundreds of thousands of pounds each year in exaggerated and inflated credit hire claims.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of an incredible team and gain more experience in investigating credit hire claims with a view to successfully repudiating the claims.
Key Accountabilities
* Review and analyze files throughout the case lifecycle, adhering to client guidelines
* Develop and maintain client relationships, keeping the client at the center of every decision
* Formulate initial strategies while assessing all intelligence and KYO strategies
* Undertake telephone negotiations with third-party Solicitors
* Liaise with the insured where necessary
* Ensure actions are completed as per the task list within the Case Management System
* Accurately complete management information processes (MI)
* Provide feedback on successful outcomes to pre-proceedings handlers and clients via reports
* Ensure all files comply with ISO 9001 guidelines
* Maintain compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations
* Adhere to Keoghs Values
* Work effectively in a target-driven environment
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
* Experience handling Credit Hire files and managing own caseload
* At least 5 GCSEs or equivalent; degree / LPC is preferable
* Ability to use own initiative and prioritize workloads
* Excellent listening and verbal communication skills
* Good telephone negotiation skills
* Ability to follow work processes and strategies
* Recognize when sensitivity and tact are required
* Decision-making abilities
* Remain calm under pressure
* Proficient in Word, Outlook, and familiar with Case Management Systems
Desirable:
• Experience with PI claims
• Knowledge of handling cases with potential indemnity issues
