Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate PMLD Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming SEN school in Bourne on a full-time basis.
Your Role:
You will support students with complex needs and PMLD, ensuring they receive personalised care and engaging educational support. Every day is about empowering learners, promoting independence, and creating a safe and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
✔ Provide tailored support to pupils with PMLD in a classroom and sensory-based setting
✔ Assist with personal care and mobility needs
✔ Deliver and adapt learning activities to suit individual abilities
✔ Use specialist resources and communication methods (PECS, Makaton, sensory tools)
✔ Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff
Requirements:
✅ Experience supporting individuals with PMLD, complex needs, or physical disabilities
✅ A patient, caring, and resilient nature
✅ Knowledge of SEN strategies (advantageous but not essential)
✅ Willingness to assist with personal care
✅ Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply)
