Conrad Consulting are currently working with a growing architectural practice based near Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Architectural Technician to join its expanding team. The studio specialises in delivering high‑quality residential architecture, with a strong focus on large‑scale, multi‑unit developments, regeneration schemes and contemporary housing projects.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong technician who enjoys working on complex residential sites and wants to contribute to a practice known for thoughtful design, technical rigour and collaborative working.
The Role
You will play a key part in producing detailed technical information for a wide range of residential projects, from early design stages through to construction. Working closely with architects, designers and external consultants, you’ll help deliver well‑coordinated, build‑ready drawing packages for multi‑plot developments and bespoke housing schemes.
Key Responsibilities
1. Produce high‑quality technical drawings, working drawings and construction packages
2. Support the delivery of large‑scale residential and multi‑unit developments
3. Prepare planning, building regulations and construction‑stage documentation
4. Coordinate with consultants, contractors and local authorities
5. Assist with site inspections, surveys and technical problem‑solving
6. Ensure compliance with current UK Building Regulations and relevant standards
7. Work collaboratively within a small, supportive team environment
8. Maintain accurate project documentation and contribute to efficient workflow
About You
9. Minimum 5 years’ experience in an architectural or residential design environment
10. Strong background in residential architecture, ideally including multi‑unit or volume‑housing projects
11. Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of UK building regulations
12. Proficient in AutoCAD (essential)
13. Confident producing detailed, accurate technical information
14. Strong communication and coordination skills
15. Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
16. Positive, proactive approach with strong attention to detail
