About the Client/Child
Molly is a joyful, imaginative, and energetic 9-year-old who lives with her mum in the Hertfordshire countryside. She loves swimming, creative play, baking (or supervising!), soft play, farm park,s and outdoor adventures. Molly has Global Developmental Delay, tonic‑clonic epilepsy, and Auditory Neuropathy Spectrum Disorder, and wears bilateral hearing aids. She eats orally but has food aversions, with nutrition and medication provided via PEG. Molly can feel anxious with new people, so introductions are gentle and gradual, but once trust is built, she is wonderfully engaging and playful.
The Role at a Glance
Working alongside two other team members, you’ll support Molly through fun-filled weekends, including outings, play, swimming, and home-based activities. You’ll assist with routines such as dressing, hearing aids, personal care, bathing, and setting up her overnight PEG feed. Overnight support is minimal, typically limited to switching off and flushing the feed. You’ll stay close by in a comfortable ensuite room. Sunday evenings conclude with a detailed handover to share Molly’s weekend highlights.
