Senior Business Analyst - Oracle Fusion Support Permanent Grade D - £45,091 – £53,460 Consultation grade - subject to formal evaluation under the Pay Equity Review Working 36.5 hours per week About the Role We are seeking an experienced finance systems specialist to lead on the support, development and optimisation of Oracle Fusion within City Finance. This role is critical to ensuring Oracle Fusion continues to meet the Council’s operational and financial reporting needs, supports users effectively, and evolves alongside business requirements. You will act as a subject matter expert, manage system improvements, support users and business process owners, and contribute to wider finance transformation initiatives. What You’ll Be Doing Lead the effective management of Oracle Fusion support requests, ensuring adherence to processes, standards and timescales. Act as Subject Matter Expert for Oracle Fusion, advising on system functionality, process improvements and best practice. Supervise and support team members, managing workloads, performance and delivery against deadlines. Design, implement and test system enhancements, supporting upgrades, user acceptance testing and change control. Work closely with Business Process Owners, IT&D and users to ensure Oracle Fusion aligns with operational needs. Maintain and develop user guidance, SOPs and documentation to support consistent and effective system use. Manage projects linked to Oracle Fusion and related systems, improving reporting, self-service and user experience. About You You will bring strong technical expertise in Oracle Fusion, combined with excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to operate confidently in a complex organisational environment. You Will Have: Extensive experience supporting Oracle Fusion Finance, including modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Cash Management. Strong experience supporting users, resolving complex issues and translating technical functionality into practical solutions. Experience managing projects, resources and competing priorities within finance systems environments. Ability to analyse financial and system data, ensuring accuracy of the general ledger and core financial information. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong analytical and numerical capability, with the ability to improve processes using system functionality.
