Our well-established client is seeking an ambitious Civil Design Engineer with at least 1 year of UK experience in drainage, highways, and/or infrastructure sectors. This role offers exposure to a wide scope of work, challenging projects including multi-million pound private developments and public realm projects, and opportunities for career progression through personalized training and support.
Job Responsibilities
1. Lead civil engineering design on various projects from small to large scale.
2. Design infrastructure for sectors such as commercial, retail, residential, and education, including SuDS drainage systems, roadworks, and hard landscaping across London and the UK.
3. Coordinate with statutory bodies like Thames Water, Local Highways Departments, and the Environment Agency.
4. Proficient in technical analysis and design software such as Windes MicroDrainage, Civils 3D / PDS, and AutoCAD.
5. Maintain quality and consistency in technical outputs including drawings and reports.
6. Participate in design meetings, site meetings, and conduct site inspections.
7. Collaborate professionally with colleagues, clients, contractors, and other designers, offering guidance and advice.
8. Manage projects considering budgetary limits and timelines.

Experience and Qualifications
1. Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering
2. Minimum 1+ years of relevant industry experience
3. Chartered or near Chartered status (MICE) preferred
4. Experience with Sewers for Adoption, CIRIA SuDS Manual, NPPF, DMRB/SHW
5. Design experience for Section 38 / 278 works and S104, S185, S106 approvals
6. Software proficiency in Microdrainage, AutoCAD, Civils 3D, Vehicle Tracking
7. Excellent report writing, communication, and numerical skills
