Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester - 3 Day week
Our client is seeking a skilled Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester to join their specialised independent garage in Brands Hatch, Kent. Duties:
8. Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing on all makes and models, with a focus on classic cars
9. Conduct MOT inspections on a dedicated MOT bay
10. Diagnose and rectify mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic tools
11. Assist with restoration work, crash repairs, and race prep for a variety of vehicles
12. Interact directly with customers, booking work, invoicing, and discussing repairs
13. Maintain a clean and organised workshop environment
14. Contribute to specialised tasks, including metal work and restoration components
Requirements:
15. Proven experience as a Classic Car Technician & MOT Tester or similar role
16. Confidence working with historic and high-value vehicles including Lotus, Triumphs, and Caterhams
17. Ability to work independently, confidently engage with customers, and communicate effectively
18. Full UK driving licence with a clean record
19. Enthusiastic, reliable, and keen to develop skills in a specialised industry
20. Experience with general maintenance, diagnostics, and MOT testing is essential
21. No formal qualifications are required; training is provided for specific tasks
