SEND Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor - Year 6 Location: Northfield, Birmingham, West Midlands Contract: Full-Time, Monday to Friday (8:30am - 3:30pm) Start Date: ASAP Duration: Until July 2026 We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor to support a Year 6 pupil who is reintegrating into mainstream education. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a child's educational journey. Key Responsibilities: Provide tailored 1:1 support to a pupil with SEND needs. Assist with academic, social, and emotional development. Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement strategies that promote inclusion. Encourage confidence, independence, and positive learning experiences. Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents. Requirements: Experience working with children with SEND in a school setting. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Good knowledge and understanding of the UK curriculum Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain a calm, supportive approach. A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
