Salary £72k plus car allowance, 10% bonus plus benefits
We have an excellent opportunity for an IT Service Manager to work with a forward-thinking MSP based in Somerset. The IT Service Manager will be responsible for ensuring the company’s services are compliant, cost-effective, and aligned with business needs. The role involves leading IT service delivery and system administration teams, driving safe and efficient operations. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in shaping and delivering IT projects within a multi-divisional business.
Role responsibilities:
* Collaborate with managers and partners to meet business priorities, conduct service reviews, and implement improvements
* Manage and support project-specific services related to partner services
* Oversee infrastructure and applications, ensuring regulatory compliance
* Work proactively with suppliers to address service gaps
* Maintain Service Level Agreements aligned with business needs
* Identify and implement service improvements with partners
* Understand IT cost drivers and recommend cost-effective solutions
* Act as the primary contact for IT issues between the business and partners
* Monitor risks related to operational services and escalate as needed
* Define and report on system performance, including third-party support
* Manage changes to production services to minimise impact
* Ensure smooth transition of IT services from delivery to operations
* Allocate resources efficiently within the project portfolio
* Manage stakeholder communication
Skills, experience, and qualifications required:
* Strong background in System Administration support
* Experience in delivering service improvements and managing IT service delivery, including financial management
* Service-oriented with strong partnership-building skills
* Experience managing external service providers
* Skilled in SLA development and management
* Experience developing services to meet evolving needs
* Practical experience with AzureDevOps, JIRA, or similar tools supporting agile methodologies
* Leadership and influence over project teams
* Analytical decision-making skills
* Negotiation and influencing abilities
* Proficient in presenting reports and data in various formats
* Ability to engage with internal and external stakeholders
* Proactive knowledge sharing and continuous learning
