Job Description
* We are currently seeking personable, enthusiastic, and energetic Senior / Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors with Rail experience to join our contract and cost management team and support our growing UK infrastructure business.
* You will be a Senior / Cost Manager embedded in a client office working on a Rail project or programme.
* We support Hybrid working and embrace a forward‑thinking approach to work.
Job Objectives
* Administer a variety of contracts in accordance with project objectives and policies.
* Provide accurate project cost monitoring, forecasting and reporting to completion in line with budget.
* Pro‑actively monitor and manage cost variance and contract cash flow, ensuring that applications are made correctly and in a timely manner.
* Collaborate with client and contractor teams to manage the delivery of project deliverables, KPIs, and objectives, including programme performance, cost control and value engineering.
* Manage contract change effectively, ensuring that projects remain within governance and adopt best practice.
* Drive improvements in the accuracy of forecasts and budgets.
Qualifications
* Membership of a relevant professional body with chartered status and/or a degree level education is preferred.
* Successful experience of delivering rail projects in a commercial environment.
* Experience of mentoring and/or management.
* Knowledge of railway and construction industry conditions of contract.
* Experience resolving contractual disputes.
* At least 5 years’ relevant railway and/or construction experience.
* Ability to work on contracts independently.
