Roles and Responsibilities
* Provide MARAC and Domestic Abuse support to front line staff, representing Kent and Medway Mental Health NHS Trust and sharing mental health views from our practitioners within the MARAC.
* Prevent abuse and protect adults and children at risk through data collection, research and participation in MARAC.
* Support front line staff in responding safely to the impact of domestic abuse on children and families.
* Represent KMMH in a professional and proficient manner within Kent and Medway MARAC’s case management system.
* Complete research, document outcomes on client RiO records and share findings with relevant KMMH professionals.
* Collate and monitor MARAC statistics; participate in audit activity and gather evidence of action plan compliance.
* Deliver training and learning events, encouraging a safeguarding culture across the Trust.
* Give and receive feedback on training delivery and use it to maintain ongoing development of media‑based and face‑to‑face training packages.
* Maintain contemporaneous records and audit activity; support cover when needed and use video conferencing technology.
* Work in an isolated/lone‑working environment due to the nature of data input.
Qualifications and Skills
* Proficient in IT skills, including Excel database and Word packages; excellent record‑keeping skills.
* Experience of mental health services is advantageous but not mandatory.
* Ability to capture and share information from mental health professionals clearly to ensure appropriate representation and advocacy.
Other Requirements
* Hold a full, valid UK driving licence and have access to a car/vehicle for business purposes (unless disabled per Equality Act 2010).
