This Manchester-based role is ideal for someone who wants to build a long-term career in Court of Protection, rather than using a paralegal position as a short-term stepping stone.
You’ll manage your own caseload from the outset, working closely with vulnerable clients and supporting them in their day-to-day financial lives. The work is practical, responsible and people-focused — from managing bills and accounts to liaising with families and care providers.
As you gain experience, you’ll become a trusted point of contact for your clients and their support networks. There’s a clear pathway to progress — including opportunities to develop into a senior fee earner or Associate — for those who want to specialise and grow within Court of Protection.
The team is large, well-established and has excellent retention, largely because people value the stability, the culture and the sense of purpose behind the work.
What you’ll be doing
4. Managing your own Court of Protection caseload
5. Supporting vulnerable clients with day-to-day financial management
6. Arranging direct debits, paying bills and handling client accounts
7. Liaising with families, carers and external providers
8. Maintaining accurate records and using case management systems
9. Ensuring clients receive consistent, high-quality support
10. Contributing to the smooth running of a busy and growing team
