This is an exciting opportunity to join a leading food supplier as an Area Sales Manager. In this fast-paced role, no two days are the same, you’ll be at the heart of driving growth, building strong partnerships, and delivering outstanding service to customers.
What you’ll be doing:
* Drive growth – deliver sustainable sales and profit in line with agreed targets.
* Maximise opportunities – develop business with existing accounts by analysing sales data, minimising order losses, and maintaining a prospect pipeline.
* Win new business – generate profitable new accounts through proactive canvassing and strategic prospecting.
* Collaborate for success – work closely with Category Specialists to deliver a joined-up approach to growth and customer service.
* Stay accountable – provide accurate and timely reports, ensuring performance is measured against agreed KPIs (including customer call rate, retention, and business growth).
What we’re looking for:
* A proven sales professional with a strong record of exceeding targets.
* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to understand customer needs and create tailored solutions.
* A flexible, proactive approach and strong business acumen.
* A full UK driving licence
What’s on offer:
* Competitive basic salary of £42,000
* Car allowance of £7,000
* Uncapped OTE of £12 - £15,000+
