Job Description
The Business Consultant is responsible for supporting the sales of Canon’s Technology, Software and Services into customer accounts. This role focuses on understanding customer needs, utilising technical expertise to design and demonstrate solutions to business problems, and producing business cases and tender responses. The consultant also ensures the quality and success of Workspace tender responses, delivering solutions that are accurate and compelling.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with sales teams to understand client objectives, challenges and requirements, and conduct discovery meetings and workshops to gather business and technical needs.
* Translate customer requirements into tailored solution proposals, delivering persuasive business cases, solution demonstrations and presentations.
* Lead solution/service presentations to existing or prospective customers when required.
* Advise customers on best practices, industry trends and transformation opportunities, and identify solutions adoption opportunities across their organisations.
* Contribute to tender responses, solution proposals and pricing strategies, ensuring commercial viability and alignment with customer goals.
* Build and maintain relationships with key decision‑makers, acting as a trusted advisor to internal and external stakeholders.
* Define and document functional specifications for customer solutions, and manage hand‑over to the implementation team.
* Collaborate with Solutions Architects, Integration Specialists and the implementation team to confirm technical specifications and maintain contracts throughout the project lifecycle.
* Share best practices and client feedback to improve customer experience and solutions, collaborating with internal teams and partners to drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of experience as a Business Consultant or in a similar role.
* Excellent presentation and demonstration skills.
* Proven ability to adapt communication style to ensure customer understanding and a positive experience at every touchpoint.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
* Fluency in a local language and business‑level English.
* Experience in the Managed Print Services (MPS) / Output Management marketplace.

Up to £32,097, dependent on experience.
Location: Desk based.
