Business Development Manager

Sector: HVAC / Air Distribution

Let’s be honest.

Most “sales” roles in HVAC are about chasing quotes, defending price, and hoping procurement doesn’t undo months of work.

This isn’t one of those roles.

We’re looking for a technically minded Business Development Manager who can own a pipeline, influence specification, and turn engineering conversations into long-term project wins.

This is about strategy, relationships, technical credibility, and follow-through — not just transactions.

The Role

You’ll be the face of a market-leading air distribution specialist, working with:

* Mechanical contractors

* Main contractors

* Specifying engineers

Your mission?

Make our solutions the default choice at design stage — and keep them there through to installation.

You’ll take ownership from first quotation to final delivery, ensuring projects don’t drift, margins are protected, and value holds firm.

What You’ll Be Doing

Own the Pipeline

Manage and drive your sales pipeline with discipline.

Follow up quotations with purpose — maximising conversion, not just sending paperwork.

Work with senior leadership to shape and execute a clear growth strategy.

Build and Protect Relationships

Develop existing accounts while opening new doors through research, networking, and industry presence.

Represent the business at exhibitions and regional events.

Become a trusted technical partner — not just another supplier.

Influence Specification

Deliver CPD presentations to engineers and specifiers.

Help embed products into project designs at the earliest stage.

Use technical insight to solve airflow challenges — and position solutions confidently.

Support Project Delivery

Work closely with technical colleagues to ensure design accuracy.

Use bespoke design software (full training provided) to produce tailored system layouts and quotations.

Provide occasional site support to maintain high customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For

You’ll thrive here if you:

Have proven B2B sales or business development experience within HVAC.

Understand how contractors think — especially the journey from specification to procurement.

Are comfortable discussing engineering principles and airflow concepts.

Can stand in front of a room and deliver a confident, credible technical presentation.

Can look at a floor plan and see the air distribution challenges immediately.

Have the commercial instinct to protect value when alternatives enter the conversation.

Are self-driven, proactive, and enjoy owning outcomes from start to finish.

Design aptitude and familiarity with airflow dynamics are highly desirable — but curiosity and technical intelligence matter more than a textbook background.
