We are looking to recruit a Nursery Assistant for our ‘Outstanding’ rated Treetops Nursery at Thornaby Pavilion.

THE ROLE
Treetops is a registered childcare setting rated as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted. We offer sessional care for children aged 2-4 years. We offer an exciting programme of activities to stimulate and develop children to their full potential.
Responsibilities
* Support the Treetops Team in planning and delivering EYFS-aligned activities.
* Support children’s personal care, emotional wellbeing and comfort throughout the day.
* Promote inclusive practice for children with SEND, working with caregivers and professionals.
* Ensure compliance with safeguarding, health & safety, and Ofsted standards.
* Maintain a clean, safe, and well-prepared nursery environment.
* Taking observations and tracking children’s progress.
* Keep accurate records of children’s health needs, allergies and emergency contacts.
* Administer first aid and respond appropriately to emergencies.
* Record attendance, incoming injuries and communicate with caregivers as needed.
ABOUT YOU
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Nursery Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will support the daily operations of the nursery, helping to maintain a safe, nurturing and engaging environment for children.
Candidates will have a minimum of Level 2 in Childcare who have experience of working in a busy childcare environment.
Applicants must have a good knowledge of child development, Ofsted welfare requirements and the EYFS curriculum. Applicants should be able to support high quality activities by planning and extending the children’s learning and development. The successful applicant would be expected to attend regular staff meetings.
On-going training is available.
We are committed to safeguarding and therefore the post is subject to an enhanced DBS check.
This is a 17.5 hours per week, term-time only position, paid at £12.26 per hour.
