Vacancies for Road Workers
We have vacancies for Road Workers at various levels, working for Coventry City Council as part of the Direct Labour Organisation (DLO). You will be part of a successful team responsible for constructing and maintaining footways, carriageways, and drainage. Your responsibilities include highway construction and maintenance activities such as laying bituminous materials, drainage installation, kerb, paving, and pipe laying, all to precise levels and tolerances. You will also have opportunities to work on high-profile schemes across the city to improve residents' living conditions.

Who are we looking for?
To succeed, you should:
* Know Risk Assessments and Method Statements
* Operate plant machinery safely (heavy rollers, dumpers, compressors, jackhammers, Stihl saws, whacker plates)
* Have experience in highway construction/maintenance
* Work well within a team and independently
* Manage a small team
* Possess good communication and numeracy skills
* Work effectively with people from diverse backgrounds
* Be willing to undertake training as needed
* Work in all weather conditions
* Hold a full UK Driving License
