Salary up to £31,000 depending on experience.
Renishaw’s Spectroscopy Products Division is looking for an Assembly Technician to assist in assembling, testing, and inspecting products to meet specified standards, ensuring a reliable supply that adheres to agreed delivery schedules
Responsibilities
1. Assemble, test, and inspect products according to defined standards.
2. Follow all relevant instructions, both written and verbal, and report any deficiencies observed in the process.
3. Use skills and techniques acquired during training to work efficiently and with a focus on quality, ensuring that product quality and production targets are met.
4. Inform supervision of any issues that may affect product quality.
5. Build low volume and special assemblies from drawings, without WI's and feedback any build issues to the design team.
6. Work sensibly and safely at all times, ensuring compliance with Health and Safety regulations and reporting any concerns immediately.
Key requirements
7. Demonstratable assembly experience.
8. Good eyesight, with or without spectacles/contact lenses.
9. Excellent hand-eye coordination and dexterity, capable of handling various delicate component parts.
10. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
11. Flexibility to adapt and continuously improve.
12. Confidence and ability to operate machinery, test equipment, and computer systems when necessary.
13. Proficiency in reading and accurately interpreting build instructions and technical drawings.
Person specification
The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proactive attitude towards their work ethic. They should have a strong record of punctuality and attendance, be personable, and possess excellent communication skills.
