Role: Senior IT Infrastructure OfficerSalary: Grade J £40,777 - £45,091 a year Location: Council House/Hybrid Working Hours: 37 hours a week Closing Date: 7 April 2026 Contract Type: Fixed term for 6 months (possible full time employment afterwards) The Council’s IT Services department is seeking a professional and enthusiastic senior technical analyst to join a small team of Infrastructure engineers responsible for maintaining the Council’s hybrid cloud infrastructure. Design & build secure scalable IT infrastructure. The opportunity to work with a wide range of technologies. Resolving Incidents, problems, and requests. Customers, staff, and third-party liaison. Working independently and as part of a team to deliver excellent IT support. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Report writing and technical documentation. Training and development for junior staff. About You To be successful in this role, you’ll ideally have… Minimum 3 years’ experience working in a senior Server/Infrastructure support role covering Microsoft, virtualisation and Hyperconverged technology, Citrix, Backups, Cloud infrastructure services. Able to demonstrate strong technical ability in multiple technologies. Excellent problem solving and customer management skills. Proven experience working independently and as part of a team. Lead on high profile Infrastructure project delivery to tight time scales. Objective driven. Effective communication skills. Highly tuned problem-solving skills.
