Warehouse Operartive Are our client is a leading distributor in their industry, covering both UK and overseas. As a Warehouse Operative, duties to includes include: * Goods inwards: Receiving and inspecting goods upon arrival including checking quantities and storing in correct location. Checking for damage and missing items. * Goods outwards: Picking and packing customer orders accurately to meet deadlines and to the correct specification. Dispatching orders with appropriate paperwork. * Stock control: Regular stock takes, coordinating quarantine stock materials and dealing with any stock discrepancies. * Manual handling: Re-palletise containers up to 25kg each and move stock around by hand when required. * Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet trucks. * Ensuring workplace safety by following Health and Safety regulations. * Keeping the warehouse clean and organised to optimise efficiency. Candidates should have: The successful candidate will need to be enthusiastic, have a strong attention to detail, good numeracy and literacy skills and a high level of physical fitness. Experience of working in a warehouse environment with a racking system and being a qualified forklift truck driver is desirable, but not essential as training will be provided. They must be able to work as part of a team, but also independently. What's on offer: * Hours: Monday – Thursday 9:00 – 17:30 and Friday 9:00 – 17:00 * Holidays: 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays * (3 days to be taken over Christmas and New Year shutdown) * Probation Period: 6 Months * Notice: 1 week during the probation period, increasing to 3 months following successful completion of the probation * Benefits: Company pension scheme with 6.5% employer contribution.
