This role reports to the Account Director managing key accounts including Currys, Argos, Very, Costco, and Harvey Norman.

The key responsibility is managing daily operations and implementing a sales strategy to ensure Samsung remains the No.1 Home Appliance brand in the UK by market share, while increasing profitability and average selling price.


Role and Responsibilities

Your key responsibilities

The National Account Manager's role is to expand SEUK’s points of entry into sales channels and enhance Samsung’s position within the account. The ultimate goal is to significantly grow market share, deliver volume and value growth, and maintain leadership in the UK consumer electronics market.

* Implement and improve strategies in finance, marketing, and operations as per SEUK’s strategic parameters.
* Maintain and develop relationships within the named accounts at appropriate levels.
* Gather sales and market intelligence from customers.
* Participate in weekly cross-functional account meetings.
* Contribute to the quarterly commercial plan.
* Support weekly sales, supply chain, and PSI meetings to address issues affecting customers and SEUK strategy.
* Attend quarterly account reviews and ensure follow-up actions are completed timely.
* Escalate critical business issues to the relevant directors.
* Plan and coordinate product launches within accounts.
* Develop and execute sales strategies, including relationship management, market awareness, forecasting, and event planning.
* Collaborate internally and externally to manage stock levels and promotional activities, identifying new opportunities.
* Manage financial accruals with accurate forecasting to balance P&L.
* Coordinate with commercial and marketing teams to plan promotional events and ensure logistical support.
* Develop and support Joint Business Plans (JBP) with accounts to recognize potential, forecast accurately, and achieve targets.


Qualifications and Skills Needed

To succeed, you should have:

* Experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, preferably retail or consumer electronics.
* Experience managing and developing a large product portfolio.
* Strong partner management skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
* Commercial acumen to align business capabilities with market opportunities.
* Proven track record in business planning and execution.
* Financial literacy, understanding retail pricing, margins, and accruals.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management.
* Results-oriented with a target-driven mindset and team collaboration skills.
* Influencing skills for sophisticated negotiations and conversations.
* Strategic approach to growth, defining pillars, tactics, and capabilities.
* Ability to identify and develop new opportunities.
* Flexibility to adapt to role and business needs.
* Industry knowledge of white goods/SDA market (desirable).
* Passionate work ethic and attention to process.
* Excellent communication abilities.

Interview Process

First interview with the hiring manager and another DA Account Director or Head of Sales. Shortlisted candidates will present on a set topic. Final round includes presentations to DA leadership and the hiring manager.
