Streamline Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Transport & Administration Co-ordinator to join our client’s team.
This role is key to managing the end-to-end customer order process, from order entry through to delivery, ensuring efficiency at every stage. The successful candidate will also support the operations team, liaise with customers, and assist with load building to optimise deliveries. Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Input daily sales orders accurately and efficiently.
* Coordinate haulage, organise transport, and manage associated costs.
* Schedule deliveries with customers, following all relevant procedures.
* Maintain and update the haulage Excel file, assisting finance with monthly reporting.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with logistics partners and actively seek new partners for the business.
* Assist with load building to maximise deliveries leaving the quay.
* Manage customer forward orders, call-offs, and stock levels.
* Support operations by covering tasks during holiday periods or other absences.
* Make outbound sales calls to existing and potential customers to support load building.
* Develop existing accounts by strengthening relationships and promoting additional products.
* Ensure all administrative tasks are completed efficiently.
* Manage direct load business from manufacturers.
Working Hours & Benefits:
* Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00
* Fully office-based role
* 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays (with a few days reserved for Christmas shutdown)
