The Role: We are seeking a methodical, execution-focused Chief Operating Officer (COO) to oversee daily business operations and execute our corporate strategy. This role is ideally suited for an operations executive, a scaling specialist, or a senior delivery lead looking to deploy their expertise under a professional Volunteer Agreement, securing a foundational stake in our organizational trajectory.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operational Execution: Translate the CEO’s strategic vision into actionable operational blueprints, workflows, and KPIs.
* Cross-Functional Coordination: Oversee daily administrative, operational, and project-based workflows, ensuring tight alignment with the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
* Process Optimisation: Implement Lean practices or automated workflows to drive cost efficiency and resource optimisation.
* Performance Monitoring: Establish robust reporting metrics to evaluate operational efficiency and venture performance.

Requirements
1. Professional Leadership & Domain Expertise
* Demonstrated Executive Experience: A proven track record in a senior operational leadership capacity, such as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Director of Operations, or Head of Scaling/Delivery.
* Methodical Execution Track Record: Direct experience translating macro corporate strategies or a CEO’s high-level vision into actionable operational blueprints, concrete workflows, and measurable KPIs.
2. Operational Frameworks & Systems Design
* Corporate Operations & Resource Management: Deep foundational knowledge of resource allocation, project management frameworks (e.g., Agile, Prince2), and corporate governance.
* Process Optimization Capability: Practical experience implementing Lean management practices, eliminating operational redundancies, or setting up automated workflows to drive cross-departmental cost efficiency.
* Metric & Performance Monitoring: Ability to design, deploy, and evaluate robust operational metrics and reporting dashboards to monitor venture performance and overall efficiency.
3. Remote Infrastructure & Soft Skills
* Distributed Workforce Management: Strong capability in leading, motivating, and managing distributed, remote teams across multiple time zones.
* Digital Workspace Optimization: High proficiency in structuring and optimising digital collaboration environments (such as Google Workspace, advanced communication cadences, and project management tools).
* Collaborative Leadership Style: A highly collaborative executive temperament, specifically capable of working in tight, synchronous alignment with the Board, the CEO, and the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).

Requirements
Executive Leadership Experience: A proven track record in a high-level leadership role such as CEO, Managing Director, or a commercial Board Member. Experience within fast-paced or venture-backed environments is highly preferred. Financial & Governance Acumen: Strong financial expertise combined with direct experience in corporate governance, managing joint ventures, or successfully scaling business models.
