To carry out essential early-stage vehicle processing by safely removing key components such as tyres, wheels, batteries, and aircon gas. This role plays a vital part in Charles Trent’s full vehicle recycling operation by preparing salvage vehicles for the production line, ensuring safe, efficient, and environmentally responsible handling of materials in line with regulatory standards.
Location: Poole, BH12
Working Hours: 47.5
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday 7am – 5pm
Reporting to: Yard Manager
Requirements of the role:
* Drain aircon gas from vehicles (training provided)
* Remove and sort tyres into designated cages/areas
* Check tyre quality: tread depth, perishing, and other issues
* Safely remove batteries and wheels from vehicles
* Dispose of scrap wheels and tyres appropriately
* General vehicle sweep for debris and remaining materials
* Heavy lifting and manual handling
* Maintain a clean, safe, and tidy work area
* Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies
Experience & Essential Qualities:
* Experience in tyre handling or vehicle depollution preferred
* Strong work ethic and team spirit
* Attention to detail and accuracy
* Physically fit; able to lift and handle heavy items
