We are looking for a qualified teacher (with UK QTS) for a fantastic, complex ASD-specific SEND school in Handsworth. The school is looking for a teacher to start at the beginning of the Autumn 2024 term, initially for the whole of the 24/25 academic year and with the potential for this to become a permanent contract directly with the school. Person specifications: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK • Full-time availability from 2nd September 2024 (availability for interview/trial with the school prior to Friday 19th July) • Extensive and sound SEND experience – preferably in supporting children and young people with ASD and complex ASD (including development delay, sensory needs and challenging behaviour • Child Workforce or Child and Adult Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or be willing for Axcis Education to get one in place for you) Role Specifications: • Full-time classroom teacher • Responsible for all planning, preparation and assessment including marking (PPA time given) • Pay starts at £200/day minimum, in-keeping with experience of each individual candidate Please remember we will only consider applicants with: • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK • Full-time availability from 2nd September 2024 INDMID
