You will also be expected to promote extracurricular Music opportunities, including choirs, ensembles, concerts, productions, and wider performance events.

Head of Music – Experience and Qualifications
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* A degree in Music or a related subject
* A recognised teaching qualification with QTS (such as PGCE)
* Experience teaching Music across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable)
* Experience leading or supporting a department, faculty, or key area within Music
* A strong understanding of curriculum planning and assessment
* The ability to inspire students of all abilities through practical and academic Music
* Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A passion for performance, composition, and student achievement
* The legal right to work in the UK
