Fitzgerald Plant Services, a leading provider of plant machinery repair and maintenance across the UK, is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver to join our growing team. With a reputation for excellence and a nationwide presence, we deliver specialist solutions to a wide range of clients in the construction, civil engineering, and plant hire sectors.
Are you the right person for the job?
At least one years' experience in a driving role within the industry.
Must be competent in the use of plant enabling that plant to be manoeuvred safely on/off a lorry
Good knowledge and experience of driver's working-hours legislation, tacho-graph procedures and other legal obligations (essential)
NPORS Loader securer or similar (training may be available to candidates who meet all other essential criteria)
ALLMI HIAB Certification would be beneficial (training may be available to candidates who meet all other essential criteria)
What will your role look like?
To transport construction plant, Agriculture plant, commercial vehicles, Rail Equipment and associated equipment to locations throughout the UK
Ensure Vehicles are maintained, cleaned and presentable at all times, and daily checks are completed and undertaken.
Load and unload vehicle independently and maintain safety and security of load at all times.
To act as a company ambassador when presenting to customers both verbally and on customer premises.
Up to 3 – 4 nights out per week.
