Job Responsibilities: Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing improving product quality, reducing scrap, and improving Over Equipment Efficiency (OEE) Provide reactive support for production issues, supporting complex problem solving and leading cross-functional teams toward short term and long-term resolutions. Drive strategic initiatives to advance manufacturing engineering methodologies and business systems, propelling the business forward in its process maturity journey. Oversee departmental KPIs supporting the team to drive focus and prioritize achievements. Oversee and mentor a team of manufacturing engineers, providing guidance, support, escalation and personal development. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver tangible results on complex projects. Utilize expertise in high-pressure gravity die casting, assembly, and automation to optimize manufacturing processes. Implement and manage project plans, ensuring milestones and objectives are met on time and within budget. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team. Manage, develop and utilize core tools such as PFMEA, Control Plans, and Industrial Engineering tools such as Timing Studies, Line Balancing, and Design for Manufacture. Focus on managing PFMEA's to deliver Continuous Risk Reduction projects that will help protect the customer. Able to represent the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and conformable communicating with Senior Management. EXPERIENCE : Essential Experience with PFMEA/Control plan management In-depth understanding of Lean Manufacturing methodologies and how to apply them in practice (standardised work, poka-yoke, Experience working within Die Casting environment Experience in robotics, automation and assembly Project management experience Desirable Higher education qualification in Engineering related discipline Capital delivery experience (PAT/FAT) Experience in automotive manufacturing environment Leadership experience in a technical function Awareness, Unity, Empowerment: At Magna, we believe that a diverse workforce is critical to our success.
