Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our team on a part time basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a genuine love for working with children. As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for young children to learn and grow. Your leadership skills and ability to communicate effectively will be essential in managing daily activities and fostering positive relationships with both children and their families.
Duties
* Provide high-quality care and education to children aged 0-5 years, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
* Plan and implement engaging activities that promote learning and development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
* Observe and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records to support their development.
* Communicate effectively with parents and caregivers, providing updates on children's progress and addressing any concerns.
* Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive team environment, sharing ideas and best practices.
* Maintain a clean, organised, and welcoming nursery space that encourages exploration and play.
* Support children in developing social skills, independence, and confidence through guided interactions.
Skills
* Excellent communication skills in English, enabling effective interaction with children, parents, and team members.
* Relevant experience working with children in a nursery or childcare setting.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles, particularly the EYFS framework.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
* A nurturing attitude towards children's needs and an understanding of their developmental stages.
* Flexibility to adapt to changing situations within the nursery environment.
