Overview
Climax Studios was established over 30 years ago and has an extensive history in developing digital experiences across all formats, winning multiple awards along the way. You will be based in our state‑of‑the‑art studio located in the heart of the beautiful Albert Dock in Liverpool overlooking the Harbour.
Role
Onsite Character Artist – responsible for creating beautifully constructed characters with clean geometry, texture and material work. You will utilise your experience in conceptualising, modelling, and texturing to tell stories through characters.
Requirements
* Showcase creative flair and solid fundamentals such as topology, UVs and texturing.
* Deep understanding of Maya, ZBrush and a proven foundation in Photoshop.
* Provide a portfolio demonstrating flexibility and a keen eye for form, shape, composition and fun.
* Good working knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5; experience with Marvelous Designer and/or scan development pipelines is beneficial.
* Experience with facial blendshapes and wrinkle maps.
* Hair authoring experience – full strand based and hair cards.
* Good knowledge of anatomy.
* Examples of hard‑surface work.
