Swisslog is seeking a Controls Service Engineer based in the Midlands. The role can be home-based with travel to customer sites as needed. Our UK head office is in Redditch.

As a Controls Service Engineer for automated intralogistics systems, you will play a key operational role. Your main tasks include:
* Providing on-call services to address malfunctions swiftly and effectively.
* Offering remote 2nd- and 3rd-level support to ensure system smooth operation.
* Managing smaller projects independently using your technical expertise.
* Participating in retrofitting and modernization of existing systems to keep technologies current.
* Creating detailed documentation and sharing knowledge with colleagues.
* Traveling up to 20% to support on-site customer issues or project implementation.
* Building and maintaining good relationships with internal and external customers.
* Representing the company at meetings.
What you need to succeed
* A degree in electrical engineering, automation technology, mechatronics, or a comparable qualification such as an HND/HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering.
* Solid experience in PLC programming, especially with TIA, S7, or Beckhoff TwinCat2/3.
* Comprehensive knowledge of fieldbus systems, HMI systems, and frequency converters.
* Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot electrical and control technologies.
* Application knowledge of industrial warehouse systems is advantageous.
* Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites as required.
